Add CD+G Disc Track dialog box will be displayed. If you have a CD+G disc inserted in your drive you will see the list of tracks. Karaoke DVD Burner uses FreeDB internet database to display track names. If no internet connection is available only track numbers will be displayed.

If you have more than one CD/DVD drive select the proper one from Device list.

2. Check the songs you would like to add to DVD disc and select the way folders will be created. Following modes are available:

songs will be added to the current folder

a new folder will be created and songs will be added there (this is best if you would like to organize your DVD by CD+G disc names)

a new folder will be created for every artist (this works only for discs for which track list has been downloaded)

a folder with the first letter of the artist name will be created (this is best for creating alphabetically ordered DVD); this mode also works only when track list is available

3. Click OK when ready. Karaoke DVD Burner will save the files to the hard disc. Please note that this process may take some time, as video encoding is a complex task.

To add multiple songs from the hard drive using Smart Add:

1. Click Smart Add button.

2. Select the disc folder on the hard drive that contains the songs. If you would like to include subfolders make sure to check Include subfolders option. Also pick the type of the files you would like to add.

3. Karaoke DVD Burner can use ID3 from MP3 files or can parse the filenames to determine artist name and song title. If you have ripped the songs with the software that writes ID3 tags to MP3 files (Power CD+G Burner does this), then check Read title/artist data from ID3 tags in MP3 files. If you ID3 tag is available Karaoke DVD Burner may use the filename to extract the names. Choose the correct naming template from the list below.

4. Select the way folders will be created.

4. Click OK. Karaoke DVD Burner will scan your disc and will add the files to DVD structure.

To add files from a single folder:

Click Add Files button and choose the files to add. The files will be added to the current folder.

Once you have added the songs you may proceed to the next step. To do this click Next > button.

Choosing menu style

Now you need to decide how the menu on your DVD disc will look like. Karaoke DVD Burner comes with several predefined menu styles, you may also create styles of your own.

wizard-select-style-75

Styles define the graphic elements of the DVD menu. To change the style simply select it from the list -- the preview window will be updated immediately. You may change the number of rows and columns that can appear on a single screen (this matters if your DVD contains a large number of songs). If you would like to define your own style use Style Editor.

It is important to define the television standard you will be using -- it should be NTSC for USA, Canada, Japan, and PAL for Europe and most of Asia. If you are not sure what television standard should you use please consult your DVD player manual.

Show track numbers checkbox enables display of title numbers for each of the songs on the menu screens.

Once the menu looks the way you like it you are ready to proceed to the final step. Click Next >.

Creating and burning DVD disc

The final step is creating and burning DVD disc. First <Karaoke DVD Burner> needs to convert all files to video format, create menus, and author the DVD disc. Once it is done it will burn DVD disc.

wizard-burn-disc-75

To burn a DVD disc:

1. Your computer need the be equipped with DVD writer to burn DVD disc. If you have more than one drive select the correct one from Current burner list.

2. Insert blank DVD disc if you have not done so already. You may need to click Refresh button for the program to re-scan the disc.

3. Select desired burning speed.

4. If you would like to come back to this compilation later, make sure that Save the compilation before burning is checked.

5. Click Finish.

When Create compatible disc is selected, Karaoke DVD Burner writes at least 1 GB of data to the disc. This ensures that the disc will be read by all DVD players. You may turn this off if you are burning the disc for testing purposes.

<Karaoke DVD Burner> will now start converting files. This process can take a long time if your disc contains a lot of songs (MPEG-2 encoding is a complex process and needs time). Once the files are converted <Karaoke DVD Burner> will burn the disc.

Note: If your computer is not equipped with DVD writer you sill may create DVD file structure for testing purposes (you may play it from your hard disc with a software DVD player).
